I have watched this video a numerous times and I enjoy it. For me it delivers an insight to the dilemma of how to motivate highly skilled colleagues that do advanced tasks. During the past ten years I have been involved in numerous discussions where managers wants to implement financial incentives to increase motivation. I don't believe that these financial incentives work in the long run. I don't see that employees are ready to go the extra mile for some extra cash. What I have seen is that my involvement in the employee and acting as a professional leader can give unimagined motivation boosts, where the employees are ready to go the extra mile, not because they are paid, but because they believe in something they truly care about.
