I have watched this video a numerous times and I really enjoy it. For me it delivers an insight to the dilemma of how to motivate advanced office workers. During the past ten years I have been involved in numerous discussions where managers wants to implement financial incentives to increase motivation.
Personally I don’t believe that these financial incentives really work in the long run. I don’t see that employees are ready to go the extra mile for some extra cash. What I have seen is that my personal involvement in the employee and acting as a professional leader can give unimagined motivation boosts, where the employees are ready to go the extra mile, not because they are paid, but because they believe in something they truly care about.
